Thanks - I didn't know that I had my own punch! :-)
ReplyDeleteI have a story to share about Grandma. The summer after I graduated from ISU I went to visit her before I moved to Oregon to start my job. She took me upstairs to the guest bedroom and took some things out of a dresser drawer: drinking glasses, metal knives, and a serving bowl. She told me that she thought the timing of showers should change. It used to be that one got married and then started a home of their own and now that often was not the case. Since I was heading out to start living on my own, she wanted to give me those things to help out. I appreciated both the help and the thought behind it. This story has stayed with me for almost 40 years and so has the serving bowl.
So, don't think you need to get married or have a baby to have your own punch. Or a party!
